CREATIVE WRITING.SUNDAY 9 SEPTEMBER,1.30-3.30.THEME: write as Someone else!
REGULAR SECOND SUNDAY OF MONTH MEET. SUITABLE FOR NEW/EXPERIENCED WRITERS ANY/MULTI GENRE, LGBTQ+ CONTENT OR NOT. We read our work in turn, then a couple of minutes CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, by the group, on what each of us has written. NO PRESSURE TO READ ON YOUR FIRST MEET; YOU CAN JUST GET A TASTER! We have a guideline of mutual respect. The room is private. After a fruitful discussion on "Why I /we write" last month, we are returning to our tried and tested format: PART 1 : A THEME (approx 500 word limit) PART 2: ANY TOPIC. (approx 750 word limit) THEME: TRY AND WRITE (ANY GENRE) IN THE PERSONA OF SOMEONE WHO IS (AS AR AS POSSIBLE!) NOT YOURSELF! Ok, many authors (try and ) do this; but how many truly are really not, actually, using their OWN experience, consciously or not. It will make you think! THE VENUE ROOM HIRE IS £20; so contributions of (roughly), £2, welcome; but absolutely no pressure if you on a low wage/benefits There is a cafe on the ground floor, from which you can bring up food/drink; but you can also bring your own(no alcohol) PLEASE NOTE, the number shown as attending on this site are not representative of the total numbers, as we advertise on various platforms; usually 8 to 12 people:)
