FIRST BOOK GROUP MEET OF 2019:)
FRIENDLY, LIVELY BOOK(FICTION) DISCUSSION GROUP, GOING OVER 6 YEARS.
SLIGHT EMPHASIS TOWARDS LGBT+ FICTION; BUT ALL CONTENT. WE HAVE READ THRILLERS, LITERARY FICTION, SCI-FI, COMEDY AND MORE.
FIRST HOUR: we focus on discussing set book:Andre Aciman's new "Enigma Variations" (available in paperback), him of the book/film "Call me by your name"; it's a novel re longing, loss and self-acceptance.
SECOND HOUR: we have a RELATED THEME. This month:"DO WE EVER REALLY KNOW WHAT WE WANT/REGRET", as manifested in fictional writing.
SO, if you haven't had time to read the book, no problem:) You can talk about your OWN choice on a related theme.
We use the dialogue method in our discussions: listening to each other and (if necessary) agreeing to disagree!. Basically, mutual respect:)
The facilitator is experienced in leading discussion groups.

Venue sells exquisite coffee, snacks(including veggie), cakes. Hot and cold drinks (unlicensed)
