LGBT Ireland runs First Out Peer Support Groups for men and women on the first Thursday on every month.
First Out Peer Support Group for Gay and Bisexual Men is for adult men of all ages who are at the early stages of coming out as gay or bisexual and are struggling with this or men who would just like to connect with their peers who are at a similar stage. The group is facilitated by experienced helpline volunteers but there are no agendas and is member focused. The group meets in a Dublin city centre location from 19.00-21.00 the first Thursday of every month. Contact the group facilitator on 085 876 4519 to register.
The First Out Peer Support Group for LGB Women is a peer support group for women, of all ages, who are questioning their sexuality or considering ‘coming out’. This is a drop in group, so no need to register. The group meets 19.30 - 21.30 on the first Thursday of each month, in Outhouse, 105 Capel Street, Dublin 1.
LGBT Ireland also runs a Married Women's Peer Support Group for women who are, or have been, in an opposite sex marriage or long term relationship. The peer support group offers a safe space for women to talk openly and confidentially with other women about similar experiences. The group meets on the last Tuesday of each month in Dublin. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register or get more information.
