What we're about

The Divine Office of Canonical Hours, not to be confused with “hours” on the clock, rather related to the time of day such Morning Prayer, Mid-Day Prayers, Evening Prayer, Vespers (Night Time Prayer), etc. is prayed in Christianity “wherever two or three are gathered” in His name. It is considered “The Prayer of the Church”—the Church being the Mystical Body of Christ—“It is he who is head of the body, the church” – Colossians 1:18-. We meet, pray and live. Join us to also have fun, work, to volunteer and be happy. Eternally designated through Divine Providence, the time, place and activity before, during and after praying are consecrated to His Holy Will. Be encouraged to change and be uniquely responsive to His Will and, in a humble way, open to Divine Inspiration. All of life in Christ is open to the category of possibility. Meet new people with Traditional formation in the Catholic Church who actively engage in life through prayer and work. All are welcome.

He was a noted speaker who became a Christian as an adult. He was ordained a priest within two years of his conversion and was then chosen the Bishop of Carthage. Several telephones will be available to call and ask questions the Catholic Faith, particularly ones that non-Catholics may want clarified or even challenged. "What's preventing YOU from becoming a Catholic?" Perhaps something someone has told you, or maybe you just cannot figure out why the Church teaches something, or indeed if She even does! We are all called to Communion with Jesus Christ and the Holy Church that he founded. We already have at least a couple of our non-Catholic friends attending. . . After the show we will pray from Psalms -Eventing Prayer (https://divineoffice.org/ord-w03-mon-ep/?date=20170911) of the Divine Office, for which Internet access and password will be provided. We will broadcast the audio of the prayers, and, also as usual, login access and passwords will be disseminated for those who would like to follow along on their smartphones, although the broadcast is meditative and easy to prayerfully follow on its own. Great radio talk-show with Dr. David Anders, a convert to the Catholic Faith. He shares his journey and enlightens us on Fullness of the Truth in the Catholic Church. We'll pray Evening Prayer after the show, maybe even call in during, and consider some local place for a bite to eat afterwards for anyone interested in continuing the day's discussions and friendship in Christ.
