Fall Foliage Hike on Wachusett Mountain

Join LL Bean Dedham for a Fall Foliage mountain hike of Wachusett Mountain! Enjoy the colors of fall on this vigorous, rugged hike while getting a great workout. On a clear day, we will be treated to beautiful panoramic views looking toward Mount Greylock to the west, Monadnock and New Hampshire to the North, and even the city of Boston to the southeast! We will meet at the ski area parking lot, and will follow the Balance Rock Trail and Old Indian Trail to the summit.

Suggested gear and clothing are: comfortable shoes or boots for hiking, merino wool or synthetic blend socks (avoid cotton), comfortable clothing appropriate for the day's weather such as fleece, windbreaker or rain shell, sunscreen, and bug spray. Trekking poles or walking stick are also helpful.

Lastly, be sure to bring enough water to stay hydrated (2-3 liters of water is ideal), and some snacks to have along the way and on the summit.
