What we're about

LLKA holds friendly football kickabouts every Sunday in Regents Park.

LLKA is a based on the goals of social, non-cliquey football with open access to all lesbians who want to play. Basically the main aim of LLKA is to play a bit of football and have a good time while doing it!

Anyone is welcome to come along and join in.

There are no formal joining requirements for LLKA. You simply turn up to play whenever you want to. This is because LLKA is not a private members, it's simply a series of ongoing events.

There is therefore no annual or other fee and no forms to fill in. You can just turn up as often or as little as you like. However, you are expected to be aware of the rules before you come along. There are only 3 very simple rules :
No violence, aggressive/threatening play or actions
No deliberate fouling/cheating
No abuse of hospitality - this means using the event as a "poaching" opportunity, to encourage or solicit other players at the event to come and play for other teams

Football Kickabout in Regents Park

Every Sunday we play in Regents Park. Everyone is welcome! This is a grass pitch of variable size (depending on how many people turn up!). There aren't any changing rooms (unless you count the public loos) so you can either come changed or just change in the park if you're a bit of an exhibitionist. We play at the Gloucester Gate end of the park - we're usually on the grassy area to the right of the path as you come in that entrance (we'll be the group of amazingly attractive women with black goalpost bags). To get to the park from Camden Tube: Crossover and walk up Parkway (that's the one that goes past the Jazz Cafe and the Odeon) Keep going straight, even when you get to the corner of the park where London Zoo is When you hit the "Outer Circle" ring road round the park you should see the entrance almost opposite, over the crossing Here I am looking at the park entrance using Google Streetview (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=gloucester+gate+regents+park&hl=en&ll=51.535618,-0.148358&spn=0.008756,0.022724&sll=51.536993,-0.144925&sspn=0.007875,0.022724&view=map&gl=uk&z=16&layer=c&cbll=51.535212,-0.148132&panoid=Xr5tnU8Py4HrxPHEQI8AIg&cbp=12,280.36,,0,0).
