Film Director discusses her new film

Join Finchley Film Makers (FFM) online on Friday at 7:30pm for a very interesting event with director Dictynna Hood. Dictynna will host an evening talking about the making of her new film ‘Us Among the Stones’.

‘Us Among the Stones’ follows the story of a family gathering over a weekend in a farmhouse on Dartmoor. Using a mixture of multi-format footage and stills, it gives a profound sense of memory and family heritage, as well as intimately observed live action drama. The vibrant ensemble cast includes Laurence Fox, Greg Hicks, Oliver Cotton and Lebanese actress Raia Haidar. 'Us Among the Stones' premiered at the BFI London International Film Festival in October 2019 and its international premiere was at Cairo International Film Festival in November 2019.

‘Us Among the Stones’ is writer/director Dictynna's second feature, following 'Wreckers', which starred Claire Foy and Benedict Cumberbatch. 'Wreckers' was nominated for the Sutherland Award for Best British Newcomer at the 2012 London Film Festival, won Best Film in the Perspectives Competition at the 2012 Moscow International Film Festival and has worldwide distribution.
‘Us Among the Stones’ will be released on YouTube next month so we are very lucky to be getting a chance to see a few clips and hear Dictynna talk about the film ahead of its live launch on YouTube on 4th December at 7.45pm.
