I decided to start this group to help unite people with like interests. The leadership would like to share their experiences and educate our members and guest on the benefits of health living habits and walks with nature. Come enjoy the outdoors and see what the city of Little Rock and the state of Arkansas has to offer. You never know who you may meet or what you may see. So, Let's Go Hiking!
We meet on the benches along the edge of the Clinton Center parking lot. We walk through the downtown area crossing the river and back to the Library for a total of 4 miles. If members would like to have a social afterwards we usually choose a local restaurant along the way. The routes are along paved and concrete surfaces, so some comfortable running or walking shoes will do.
Rugged and sublime. We don't dawdle but it's not so fast either. We hike about 4.2 miles. Consider this as a moderate hike. In case of weather problems we will take an alternate route on paved streets.
From Little Rock, take Dave Ward Exit, 129B, go to Salem Road, turn left. You will go by a school on the right side. Tucker Creek is on the left, a little past the school, and just before the light sighal that goes across the street. My cell # is[masked]
Look for Charles at the concrete bench[masked].The routes are along paved and concrete surfaces, so some comfortable running or walking shoes will do. We try to do at least 4 miles with the intent of building endurance. The group will determine the pace at which we travel. Beginners are welcome , just come out and enjoy!
