Lone Mountain AFTERNOON HIKE. - TUESDAY 3:30 - 5:30 PM.

Lone Mountain Park

Lone Mountain is a steep, isolated, rocky crag located in the northwest part of Las Vegas just inside the interstate -215 Beltway. The summit stands some 600 feet above the surrounding desert homes, giving great views of the city and the surrounding mountains. This trail estimated time is based on the group. We plan on taking the "scenic Trail" up to the peak which connects to the "regular trail" at the "park bench". After returning back down, we will do a fast walk on the equestrian trail that goes around the base of the mountain. Figure about 2-hours total for this adventure! This hike is Dog friendly....... Please bring plenty water during warmer weather, great views for pictures. Let's meet at the EQUESTRIAN PARKING LOT on 4445 N. Jensen Street. Test or call me if you can't find us![masked]

Hidden Canyon Trail - Exploratory

Terrible Herbst

EXPLORATORY HIKE This should be a great hike / walk for both beginners and seasoned hikers. I spoke with a hiker recently that has hiked this trail in the past. Hidden Canyon is a 4.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Las Vegas, Nevada that offers scenic views. The trail is rated as moderate and offers a number of activity options. We'll all hike together as a group and nobody will be left behind! The All Trails App. lists this hike as #24 out of 79 hikes in the Red Rock National Conservation area, although it begins at the CC-215 and Cheyenne / Cliff Shadows junction near the car wash and shopping center. Please look under "photos" for more information. This hike is dog friendly for well mannered dogs.
