I purchased 8 tickets for $25, all grouped together, then two more tickets awhile later for $30 each that are connected to the seats we already had, and all of them are in the second most desirable/expensive section for the Friday, December 6th, 8pm show. (Row T, Seat 9 is in the middle of the group.—See the 5th Avenue Seating Chart.) If you are interested in attending, please comment below. There is a waitlist now. I'm just waiting for payment from the last two people who haven't paid me yet. (I can take Venmo, PayPal, a mailed check, or if you see me in person, cash.--Private Message me to arrange payment.) We will be meeting at Azteca at the Northgate Mall beforehand, with people starting to arrive at 5pm (Happy Hour 3:30-6:30pm). We plan to Uber/Lyft down to the theater together from Northgate. I will bring the paper tickets with me to Azteca for those who have paid and were not able to print their tickets I emailed to them. Write-up about the musical: Tony-nominated star Rob McClure will no doubt fill out the wig and bosom of Robin Williams quite nicely in this brand new musical-comedy version of the hit movie Mrs. Doubtfire. McClure’s impressively long list of Broadway credits include his current role as Adam in Beetlejuice, not to mention Chaplin, Something Rotten!, Avenue Q, Honeymoon in Vegas and more. Plus, the 5th Avenue Theatre’s got a full bar and concession stand for your comfort and enjoyment, as well as a merch boutique. From the Event Organizer Based on the beloved 1993 film starring Robin Williams, this hilarious and heartfelt new musical will celebrate its world premiere at The 5th Avenue Theatre right in time for the holidays. When a struggling actor who disguises himself as a British nanny in order to spend quality time with his children after losing custody in a divorce, he learns a lot more about fatherhood than he bargained for. Broadway’s Tony-nominated star Rob McClure to lead this world premiere musical! Mrs. Doubtfire will mark the 22nd new musical produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre. A truly inspiring story about the lengths we will go to for love, Mrs. Doubtfire is a joyful musical that will make you laugh and lift your spirits. December: A Gentlemen in Moscow. Synopsis: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34066798-a-gentleman-in-moscow?from_search=true Third Place Books is the venue (for now), it seems to be a good location, easy parking, roomy and coffee! I will update on the event where I am sitting / what I am wearing so you can find the group. Please update your RSVP if you are not able to make it. I think a group of 8 would be perfect so I have set the attendee list to 8.
Come have some laughs with us at Seaplane’s Trivia Night—It’s super fun! Teams of six maximum, but we can form several smaller teams if we have more attendees. No fee to play, just plan on ordering something to drink and maybe a snack. The quiz begins at 7pm, so best to get there beforehand to form teams, get settled and start having fun! If you haven’t done this sort of trivia before, check out the About page and FAQs at Geeks Who Drink. Let's wears purple Mardi Gras bead necklaces--fun way to identify ourselves! I'll have some extra in case someone needs one. Please be courteous and accurate with your RSVP so I know how many team tables I'll need to hold. Space is limited upstairs where the trivia game takes place. Thanks!
