Berlin Liew (UX Designer, Belong)
Berlin is passionate about making a difference through meaningful work and making knowledge accessible to anyone at any level. She also finds networking weirdly enjoyable and fulfilling - but then again, her #1 Gallups Strength is Winning Others Over (WOO) so this isn't a surprise to her. Berlin believes that it is possible to establish meaningful connections with strangers, even through screens. In her talk, "Networking in the New Normal", she'll provide actionable tips on how to network remotely (without feeling gross about it!).

Simoné Jade Kelly (UX Designer, SEEK)
A passionate advocate of user-centred design, Simoné (Mon) utilises her unique background to challenge the status quo and work with her team to deliver useful and engaging digital experiences. Focused on designing the candidate apply experience at SEEK, Mon is devoted to helping people quit their day job and land their dream careers. Transitioning into UX design from an industry whose idea of user interviews was taking song requests, Mon knows how to leverage your background and help you stand out. In her talk “how to tell the story of your work” Mon will highlight what managers are looking for and how to tell a story that might just land you that dream role.

Aanchal Jiwrajka (Product Design Researcher, Xero)
Growing up around the world, Aanchal has always been interested in listening to stories about people’s lives and learning about different ways of being. Now, she has found a way to transition that experience into design research where she loves to connect the dots between culture, design & technology to solve wicked problems. Aanchal will share her experience from working in New York, Mumbai & Melbourne on how to tell great stories around your work through a UX research portfolio (without being pixel-perfect). She will equip you with the ideas, approaches & some handy tips around bringing your research findings to life.

Leah Connolly (Senior Design Lead - Candidate APAC, SEEK)
Leah started in a design job in 2000, straight out of uni. She has worked across web, apps and speech recognition systems and has now been in a design leadership role for the last 5 years. Leah has recently had to present a virtual case study and has some personal experiences to share around “How to make online interviews and case studies work in your favour”.

Alexa Zapata (UX Designer, SEEK)
Trained as an industrial designer, Alexa found her passion in Human Centred Design and decided to focus her career on making a positive impact on people’s lives. Alexa has an extensive career across both digital & physical products – designing physical inclusion education products, STEAM toys, building vertical communities through digital tools and helping hirers connect with the best talent for their roles. In her flash talk, she'll take you through her experience applying for a UX role in Australia from Colombia with the top 5 learnings of "Taking a design challenge over zoom".
