Details
Hi everyone,
We all need something to look forward to post Christmas so having a January 'Ladies of Code Leeds' night of awesome lightning talks will do just that :)
We have 5 wonderful speakers for you all:
Pauline P. Narvas - Dev Ops at EE
Pauline will be speaking about burnout, mental health, well-being and ways to make sure you take care of yourself daily whilst starting out on your Tech career path
Grace Zarczynska - Javascript Developer at Sky
Adventures in GraphQL and React
Grace will discuss her current project using GraphQL and React-Apollo.
React Apollo allows you to fetch data from your GraphQL server and use it in building complex and reactive UIs using the React framework.
Robyn Backhouse – Scrum Master, DAZN
‘Imposter Syndrome - Lets beat this’
Do you sometimes feel like a fraud? Do you feel everyone else is much more capable than you? Are you just waiting to be "found out"? Are you successful because you are lucky? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then you probably have Imposter Syndrome. We will discuss what imposter syndrome is, why it affects us, the consequences it can have on our lives and ways to combat it’s often crippling effects.
Katie Hardy – Scrum Master, DAZN
‘Being a Non-Technical Brain in a Technical Universe’
The talk is about my career development within IT delivery from PMO Analyst to Scrum Master, the imposter syndrome I experienced having never coded and being surrounded by talented developer brains, but also the realisation of the value that not being ‘technical’ can bring to the role of Scrum Master and the tech community.
Astrid Lietz – People Partner, DAZN
‘Accelerate your career through the SHIFT framework’
The SHIFT Framework is based on the principles of applied neuroscience. Achieve better results in a shorter time by aligning with the brain's approach to developing relationships and optimising thinking.
