Elixir - a functional language that is lightning fast and looks like Ruby

Details
This event will be all about Elixir, a functional programming language built on top of the Erlang VM.
We have two presentations planned to introduce you to the language itself and also to the Phoenix web framework. In addition we'll have a short live coding session using TDD in Elixir.
6:30pm - food and socialising
7pm - start of the talks
An introduction to Elixir by Daisy Mølving (https://twitter.com/DaisyMolving)
This talk will introduce basic examples and live code demos of some of the great features that Elixir has, and how they can be used to make your code clean and concise.
Under the umbrella by Georgina McFadyen (https://twitter.com/gemcfadyen)
Georgina's talk introduces Elixir Umbrella projects which allow your overall application to be modelled as a collection of independent services all under one repository.
Kata performance by EA Lyles (https://twitter.com/EmmaAshley)
The brave EA Lyles will solve a small coding problem in Elixir - live in front of the audience!
