Get On With It! Bring Your Own Project

It's a strange time at the moment: most of us are at home 23 hours a day. We're all looking for ways to break the monotony, but somehow the pile of unfinished or unstarted projects seems no more appealing than it did before the lockdown...

If there's stuff you want to get started, finished or make progress on, but are struggling for motivation, join us this Saturday 11th April. We'll get together to share what we're doing, cheer each other on and generally support each other to kick-start some momentum.

Examples of things you could work on:

• A coding side project you want to start, continue, finish or refactor
• A tutorial you want to take
• Your LinkedIn profile/CV
• A blog post
• A tech talk
• An electronics project (Raspberry Pi etc)
• A craft project (eg knitting, sewing, baking, papercrafts, woodwork, metalwork, pottery...)
• A DIY project
• A decluttering project

The structure of the session will be as follows. Feel free to join us at 11am and dip in and out as it suits you:

From 10.50am: Log into Zoom, grab a drink, relax.

11.00am: On Zoom: Welcome from LoC's Suze and Sarah.

11.05am: Tell us what you want to work on today. Type it in the chat or switch on your video camera and talk about it :)

11.15am: Get working! Check in/get support on our dedicated Slack channel and/or collaborate in one of our video breakout rooms.

12.45pm: Check back in on Zoom, show of hands as to whether anyone wants to give a demo on their progress after lunch.

12.50pm: Lunch break.

1.20pm: Demos/progress updates via Zoom.

1.45pm: Go back to working on projects, courses etc. Check in/get support on our dedicated Slack channel and/or collaborate in one of our video breakout rooms.

2.45pm: Check in on Zoom, show and tell/watch and listen!

3.00pm: Thanks, goodbye and keep up the good work!
