Coding for Quantum Computers (with IBM's Qiskit SDK)

Abstract:
This talk is aimed at coding enthusiasts who may have heard a bit about Quantum Computing in the news, but have no idea what it means to actually start building quantum software. The talk is designed to give the audience a high level overview of what quantum computing is and how they can get started building quantum circuits using IBM's Quantum Experience and even writing quantum code using IBM's Qiskit SDK.
This talk has no pre-requisites (although some basic python knowledge would be beneficial).

Bio:
Abby joined IBM in 2019 as a full stack web developer and is now a Quantum Developer Advocate. She is currently working on Qiskit, IBM’s Open Source Software for Quantum Computers. As a primarily self taught developer she is passionate about encouraging people from any background to consider pursuing their interests in technology.

How I got to grips with a large codebase

Abstract:
When starting a new role, tackling a new codebase can be tricky. Even more so if that codebase is big. In this talk, audience members will hear about tools and tricks which helped a junior navigate her first gargantuan codebase, what she learnt from the process and how you can tackle a large codebase too.

Bio:
Aishah made the decision to pursue a career in tech last year and is currently in the early months of her first role. She is striving to finally being able to finish a book before a book club meeting and looking forward to spending her Sundays playing pool again.
