Empowering Product Growth—Design Systems & Design System Manager by InVision

Digital products are becoming more complex. With that complexity comes more responsibility. Teams today are expected to ship products faster, at higher quality, across multiple devices, keeping brand consistency, while still solving the worlds biggest problems. Our first speaker Drew Bridewell, a Senior Design Specialist at InVision, will share a brief overview of the importance of Design Systems, and will give an in product demo of InVision’s newest solution to solving this problem by showing you DSM - Design System Manager.

Drew Bridewell is a Senior Design Specialist at InVision where he focuses on sharing his design experience with companies across the globe as well as focusing on tools, process, and system solutions across entire product ecosystem.

Previously Drew was a design manager and lead designer at LinkedIn, where he focused on Learning Solutions. He also teaches UX on Lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning through his weekly series Practical UX Weekly.
Drew is based in the US, it will be a remote presentation.

During the second part of the meetup, the team of designers at Backbase will dig deeper into design systems. Because they help products grow and scale in a consistent manner, they have become increasingly popular in the past couple of years since a new myriad of tools and frameworks have become available for this purpose. However, finding the right system for your organisation is no easy task, more so in companies with a stronger development focus than a design-oriented culture.

How do you decide what level of complexity does your project need? What level of technicality would this require? And, how do you get your organisation on board?
