Hands-on Web Accessibility

Details
Join us as we partner with Front-end Development Meetup for GAAD (Global Accessibility Awareness Day)!
It's a rule of thumb that one will never be finished when endeavoring to improve the accessibility of their application. This talk will be an interactive and participatory hour of a day-in-the-life in doing just that. We will look at a few websites, either member-submitted or just popular ones from the web. We'll find one or two things from each that could use accessibility improvement, then go through actually improving them. The goal will be to demonstrate that while accessibility is an ever-replenishing checklist, it's still worth the time to check things off one day at a time.

Hang out and discuss JavaScript, CSS and other front-end related tips, tricks, hacks, and frameworks with some of the other local developers. Show off cool stuff you've done and learn about what else is going on in the community. No pressure, no mandatory presentations. But we always like feedback and speakers!
