Panel: Diversity, Career Paths, & Continuing Education moderated by Gilbert Lee
Details
We are excited to announce our second event of the year! Join our panel of UX experts while they discuss the topics of diversity, career paths, and continuing education. Ladies that UX would like to welcome our moderator and panel members:
Gilbert Lee: Gilbert is the Chief Product Officer at Pluralsight, a high-growth online education company designed for developers, IT professionals, designers, and other creative disciplines including game designers, architects, industrial designers and more. Gilbert is part of the product group and works alongside CXO Nate Walkingshaw, product managers, designers, analysts, and researchers.
Frank Dankwa: Frank is a Senior Product Designer for Canopy Tax and is also an Instructor at Dev Mountain.
Jesse Harding: Jesse is the Vice President of Product & Design at Nav, where he loves helping small business owners understand and optimize their financial health. He's passionate about solving problems, creating amazing experiences and developing great company cultures.
Sania Khan: Sania Khan is a Director of User Experience at Ellucian, the leader in higher education software. Her work empowers students, faculty, advisors, and university staff to achieve student success. She has over 15 years of design experience in various industries including, architecture, e-learning, airline, and higher education.
Blake McClary: Blake is a product manager at Instructure. When not building awesome customer experiences you can find him eating out, cycling or walking around Downtown SLC.
Alex Estrada: Alex Estrada is the Creative Director at Jane.com and has spent the last 8 years specializing in branding, communication, and product design for startups.
Alex grew up in Miami and spent a few years living and working in New York City, so she’s a snob about both pizza and Cuban food. Before coming to Jane, she spent several years designing at tech companies across a spectrum of industries, like Asana, Birchbox, Fab, and Grooveshark. Alex was selected to be a part of Designer Fund’s Bridge fellowship program, and she has also been featured on podcasts such as Design Details and Diseño Cha Cha Cha. When she’s not making things for the internet, Alex likes curating mood boards, hiking in the wrong kind of shoes, and is slowly fulfilling her dream of becoming a mediocre ceramicist.
