Let's Talk Imposter Syndrome

TOPIC:
In this virtual meetup, we will explore the difficult topic of imposter syndrome, its impact, and ways to cope. We’ll also gain a better understanding by learning from each other’s experiences through informal group discussions (break-out sessions!).

Pretty soon you'll see that nope, you're not alone and we've all been through this or will go through this throughout our careers. Hopefully after this meetup we can all come away with a better understanding and some strategies to work through these thoughts/feelings.

SPEAKER & BIO:
Featuring Renée Mak (UX Designer with experience from Telus Digital, Antenna Consulting, Radical I/O, City of Burnaby, and more)!

Renée is an ENFP, she is a cat loving and award winning multi-disciplinary artist/designer/creative with a penchant for maps, research and illustration. She has a background as an urban planner and on top of all that she’s also a professional circus artist!

Renée designs scalable solutions with strategy and empathy. Her experiences both in enterprise and start-ups allow her to approach business and user complexities to create end-to-end solutions that range the gamut of service, infrastructure, technology, segmentation and more. Renée thrives on problem solving and coalescing the practices of business strategy, marketing, content, development, user experience and visual design.
