Ladies Who Lunch believe in quality, not quantity and, therefore, limit membership to 50 members.
Unlike other meet-ups, we restrict our membership in order for everyone to participate on a regular basis. We are a wonderfully supportive group of women who live in the South Bay area who want to make lasting friendships with others in their neighborhoods. You'd be surprised how much fun a lunch can be! Our average age is about 50, with a few in their 30's and others in their 60's. Our members are incredibly dedicated and stay involved in monthly activities. We are a group of interesting, intelligent, positive and fun-loving women.
We generally meet up on weekdays, once a week in the South Bay - from El Segundo to Palos Verdes at a diverse mix of restaurants. Our emphasis is on friendship - not so much the food! So, we are looking for women who can commit to lunches and actively participate. If you have a hectic schedule and a lot of priorities, this group may not be for you. You should be a good conversationalist/listener. We also host monthly potlucks at members' homes, which have been a huge successes.
The lunches are limited to 12 to 16 members in order to avoid long wait times for service and in order for us to be able to converse easily. You will pay only for what you eat plus tax and tip. Please feel free to suggest your favorite restaurant in the South Bay and we will do our best to incorporate it.
Your organizers works hard to bring you memorable dining and social experiences. We ask that you do your best to attend events that you sign up for and to update/change your RSVP promptly. A cancellation within four hours of an event counts as a no-show. Our group has a three-strike policy for no-shows and non-participation over a two month period. If you get to three strikes, membership with this group will end.
The group is often closed to new members so all of our ladies can participate on a regular basis. If membership is closed when you visit the site and you're interested in becoming a future member, you can contact us with your answers to the profile questions and we'll consider you when an opening occurs. If we're open to members when you visit the site, please complete the profile questionnaire and submit it to us. Also, please upload a current photo of yourself and to become a member you must also live in the South Bay.
