What we're about

This group is for girls* who aren't afraid to let their geeky/nerdy flags fly! I feel like everyone has a little nerd in them, whether it be for TV shows or video games or for the Packers, etc. If you're passionate about something and want to celebrate it with others, this is the group for you. The nerd/geek aspect will be very open-ended. I often feel there are social stigmas around girls being passionate about the things they love, whether it be movies, books, games, fashion, sports, etc. This group gives women free reign to gush/enthuse/geek out - whatever the term you put it as - about what makes them happy.

As for some of the things I'd love to do with this group: going to movies, having coffee shop discussions, favorite-tv-show viewing parties, mario kart parties, hikes, bike rides, book-reading, maybe a camping trip (because who doesn't nerd out over s'mores??), art museum outings, etc. I'm in a lot of meetup groups currently so I'll definitely use some of the good ideas from other groups.

However, the biggest takeaway I'd like to have of this group would be to provide a safe, open space for women to simply love what they love and get to enjoy it with others. I hope we can have some fun!! (PS I work two jobs so I'll definitely be looking for MANY event organizers to keep the group active. Hit me up if you'd like to be an organizer!)

*Transitioning and gender-fluid persons are also welcome to join this group. Because I periodically go through and remove, ban, and block men who have joined the group, if you have a picture/name that are male-presenting and still want to be apart of this group, please send me a message once you join, and we can discuss membership. Thank you :)
