What we're about

This is a Meet Up for people interested in skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports. We like to travel to across the Midwest, East, and West to ski and ride. The Lafayette Ski & Snowboard Club is the source of this group and brings together people who enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports. Come to a meeting and find people who enjoy the same things you do in the winter months. We make winter fun! Get togethers are the first Wednesday of the month (Sept - May) at Sgt. Preston's (Purdue Room). Come check it out and get involved.

We don't even care if you have never skied! Come MEET UP and we'll help you get started. Try something new today!

Greetings Ski & Snowboarders (and just anyone who enjoys being on the side of a hill!)

Winter will be here soon and there will be more opportunities to get out and enjoy the wonderful, wide outdoors.

Come to Sgt. Preston's (PURDUE ROOM) off the back patio on the west side of the building) in downtown Lafayette and get introduced to others who like to enjoy winter wonderlands from coast to coast and across the globe. The group has three official events planned to enjoy time on the hill and there will be other opportunities to make friends and plan outings all winter to enjoy the slopes.

Stop by on the first Wednesday of the month, September through April - at 7:00 pm and "Meet-Up". Enjoy a meal, a beverage and great company. Don't miss a chance to make new friends and get acquainted in a casual environment.

We just returned from a trip out to Montana to Whitefish Mountain - It was awesome!!!!! Super stellar to say the least. Come to the next meeting to hear how great it was if you didn't go on this trip!

DRIVE UP - CAR POOL TRIP to Bittersweet in Michigan - Saturday, February 4, 2016

Yes, there is snow in the Midwest, even if there's none around here. Specifically, there's snow (28-30 inches at the base) at Bittersweet Mountain in Michigan, which is where our carpool trip will be headed. Details: When: Saturday, February 4. We will meet at the northwest part of Meijer parking lot (nearest I-65 exit) at around 7:15 AM and depart at 7:30 AM. Look for a full-size fan. Where: Bittersweet Mountain: http://www.skibittersweet.com/pages/home.cfm Estimated time of depature: 5:30 PM, 6:00 PM at the latest Carpool situation: We will be taking a full size van, but it may or may not be enough for all trip participants. I am willing to take 2 persons in addition to Devshaan if necessary. Volunteer drivers are always welcome. Passengers are expected to contribute to help cover the cost of gas, so please bring cash. Dining: available on-site at Bittersweet. Also, you are allowed to bring sack lunches to the resort. We will not eat on the way to Bittersweet but may stop to eat on the way back to Lafayette.
