Country dance with Carrie Wojo

Hey guys! This is for the newbies. There’s a $10 cover, payable via Venmo or Zelle or cash. I have a jar on the table up by the request sheet. Please don’t make me chase you or ask you for it. I’m providing a service and entertainment for you. All of you that know me know I never post stuff like this, but 10 different new people have visited in the last couple weeks and jumped on the dance floor and when I mentioned the cover ran off the dance floor to avoid paying it and then came back later and danced some more thinking I wasn’t watching or whatever. It’s weird and I don’t want to have to deal with that in our happy place. I’ve worked hard to make this a welcoming and fun place, please help me keep it that way. 🙏🏻

ALSO, Sammy’s is closing its doors on November 1st so our last day at Sammy’s will be October 30th, so come enjoy Sammy’s while you can!

I have a new place lined up for November 6th that I’ll be announcing soon.

Sammy’s has canceled their football TV package so we’re back to starting at 6:30! Come early to enjoy happy hour or have some dinner!!

We gather here to practice all the dances that we’ve been learning in all of my classes. if you haven’t taken any classes, there’s a good chance you won’t know many of the dances, but you’re welcome to get out and try the beginner dances. :)

I will announce whether the dance is beginner, intermediate, or advanced before the dance starts. 

We do mostly line dancing, but we do Texas Time which can be done as a couples dance or by yourself. 

Come with your cowboy boots and your requests! Also free free to wear whatever shoes are comfy (you know I do), but keep in mind that we’re dancing on tile, and it can get a little sticky, so bring dance socks, or whatever you think will slide well.

Come early for a drink or some yummy food! Happy hour goes till 7pm!!!!

I’m going to be reviewing/teaching cowgirls to the song cowgirls by Morgan Wallen! Still deciding what I’m going to teach.

-$20 for 1 class

-$35 for 2 classes in the same day!

-$120 for an 8 class package that you can use anytime for any of my classes. (not my workshops, and not Sway workshops or classes)

I accept cash, check, Venmo or Zelle.

This is an advanced class. It’s recommended that you be comfortable with spins, faster dances and longer routines, as well as terminology like coaster steps, sailor steps, paddle steps, weaves, sweeps, etc. We have an hour so I'll go over it multiple times and in small chunks like normal.

This is an intermediate class. It’s recommended that you be comfortable with grapevines, rock recovers, kick ball changes, some spins, and learning medium length dances. We’ll go over it multiple times and in small chunks like normal.

Note: pricing does not apply to any workshops or ballroom classes at Sway.
