UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ALL MEETUPS WILL BE ONLINE EVENTS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE MEETUP WILL BE VIA MEET.COM AND THE LINK WILL BE POSTED TO MEETUP AND THE GROUP'S INTERNAL EMAIL LIST THE DAY OF THE EVENT. ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE SUBMISSIONS FOR THAT SESSION. IT'S IMPORTANT TO GET A FEEL FOR WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT TO BE PART OF THE GROUP, AND HOW IT WORKS - SO PARTICIPATION AT ONE EVENT IS MANDATORY PRIOR TO SUBMITTING WORK FOR CRITIQUE. ----------------- This is a mixed-format writer's group with the primary function of providing critiques to member's who have submitted work they need help with moving forward. But we also include member-led 15 minute presentations on various topics related to writing as well as a 15 minute timed writing to help kick into gear your creativity and get you motivated. For critiques, one must submit their work within the first week following the last meetup to expect feedback. FOR NEW ATTENDEES: New attendees must show up to the first meetup and watch how the group works. If you're still interested in regularly attending , then we take your email address and put you on the group email list. We will provide info on submission and critique rules, and you'll be able to submit your works for critique afterward. In your submission email, include the word "Submission" in the subject line, as well as the date of the meetup for which you'll want to receive feedback. Make sure your name is on your work. No more than 10-15 pages of prose or 1-2 poems at a time please, 1.5 or double spaced in Word or PDF format. There is a 12 person limit so if you cannot make the meetup, please cancel your RSVP so that another group member may attend. Thanks and keep writing! -Joe Sharpe
