Living the New Economy
What if we lived our lives in such away that we become the New Economy? How can we shift from the ego to eco identity and shape the culture we want to belong to? Join us in a Careful Process event designed for embodiment, creativity and systems redesign that will bring alive the new economy through you! You will gather in a woodland setting at George Perley House B&B to learn about self and society and find pathways that will bring us closer to living the new economy. Using Earth skills, Yoga and Permaculture we will release old patterns and find sources of resilience as we look to living systems for inspiration and understanding. This four week workshop is about activating the new economy through deep personal practice, nature connection, community and creativity. Participants will bring their head, heart and hands to the work of exploring identity and culture, making useful objects from woodland materials, playing with the social field and practicing restorative breath work and movement to bring about the new regenerative economy. We will use presencing and embodiment to lean in to the unknown with open mind, open heart and open hands ready to engage the new economy. • Reflect on life habits and habituated patterns in society • Rediscover living systems, the forest, your body, society • Renew compassion for self and others • Explore the woods and connect with nature, your body and your breath • Learn about multiple forms of capital • Play with social technologies for learning and change • Make useful things with natural materials in community SCHEDULE Class will meet on June 5 -6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27.
