Borrowed: Sustainable Cycles of Consumption

Rebecca Verrill will share ideas from her MFA thesis project and demonstrate the making of seed pods. Participants can engage in a discussion about sustainable practices and the use of local materials in the ceramic process, the relationship to food, and where the objects that surround us end up.

Rebecca grew up in Otisfield, spent ten years teaching art, building and firing kilns in Taos, NM, and completed her Master’s degree at SUNY New Paltz in 2013. She now creates work with Maine materials at Running With Scissors Art Studios in Portland.
