Dominik Moštěk: Functional programming in Java
Details
We are happy to restart Prague Lambda meetup after two years of unplanned sleep. First speaker is Dominik Moštěk and will speak about OO and FP in Java. Then Lukáš Rychtecký plans to show you discussed examples in Clojure.
Dominik Moštěk: Functional programming in Java
After many years of pursuing the perfect object oriented code I have noticed something strange. Suddenly my code was becoming functional, not object oriented. Maybe there is no object oriented and functional programming, maybe there is only good code and good code design. Is it possible to do both in Java?
Dominik Moštěk: Passionate software developer with over ten years of experience in big companies and also startups. Clean and well designed code is his mantra. In his free time he always learns something new about programming, leadership and computer science or gives talks about what he already knows - mainly about maintainable and scalable code and architecture.
Lukáš Rychtecký: Dominik's Functional programming in Java vs. Clojure
Lukáš is an experienced software engineer who worked with almost all mainstream programming languages. He is looking for clean code that is easy to change and reason about.
