What we're about
We're a group of lifelong learners of languages. We meet for conversations in various languages, at all levels, and also meet to discuss world languages, picked beforehand, in English. Our meeting places are held in bistros and coffee shops here in the Tri Valley.
Many languages picked are on the verge of extinction. It’s interesting to note their unusual features.
Need help with ESL? Happy to oblige.
Pick a language from an area of the world you’re interested in! Let’s meet for a beer or coke and find out more about that country. Evening meetings are centered around Happy Hours at locations with half price wine, etc.
Many Bay Area multicultural organizations showcase their country and identity music, costumes and readings. I’m happy to host, mostly in the East Bay, especially if their language is included in the event.
The indie food movement is growing! Farmers markets, special tastings, local hand picked produce are all part of it. Join us as we experience this.
Our goal here is to make friends, learn about languages, cultures, interesting foods, and gadabout to local multicultural events.
