Είμαστε ήδη στο 5ο Meetup και έχουμε τη χαρά να παρουσιάσουμε δύο εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέροντα θέματα. Θα μιλήσουμε για ότι πιο hot υπάρχει σε front-end web development technologies: ReactJS, και θα συνεχίζουμε με τεχνικές του Gamification ως εργαλείο για να κάνουμε πιο ελκυστικές εφαρμογές.

1. Introduction to ReactJS

Abstract

React is a JavaScript library for the frontend developed by Facebook that has attracted massive popularity lately. Used both by large companies (eg. Netflix, Airbnb) and by fresh new startups, it has succeeded in taking over Angular as the go-to frontend technology. In this talk we will discover its functionality using code samples and understand its advantages over other options. We will also talk about the React ecosystem and how it contributes to the core React library.

Theodore is a software developer, working mainly on the web. He is well versed both the frontend and the backend, messing with technologies such as Node.js, Angular and React. Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts. The reason people talk about it is because it helps organisations boost their customers and employees motivation and engagement. Join us in this presentation to find out if gamification can help you improve your products and services.

Vasilis works full time at GAMIFICATION+ (https://gamificationplus.uk/), a gamification company based in Brighton, UK. He is an international speaker, consultant and trainer on gamification. He is also the official ambassador of GamFed (International Gamification Federation) in Greece where he is trying to spread good practices on gamification.
