What we're about
Depression is a difficult thing to deal with, especially without a support system. We aim to provide a means of support for those dealing with depression and anxiety.
The well-meaning words and actions of friends and family aren't always enough. At times we need someone to talk to who has experienced the things that we are experiencing. That's where this group comes in. The support and guidance of others who have dealt with the same problems is a wonderful means of rising above the pain caused by depression and anxiety.
So who should join us:
- those who have been diagnosed with a depressive or anxiety disorder
- those who believe they may have a depressive or anxiety disorder
- anyone who has experienced sadness, loneliness, or anxiety and would like to learn ways to cope with these feelings
We hope to create an environment of trust and understanding where group members can feel free to express their true feelings and emotions without fear.
