What we're about

We are a group of active, energetic singles and couples... who enjoy Latin Dance (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Cha Cha, and some other forms of dance including Kizomba) Our objective is to schedule some great Latin social dancing meetups... on the water! We are arranging fun, safe, affordable Salsa cruises. We are providing an upscale casual event, so guys, polish up the dance shoes and ladies, get that little black dress out. You can expect an intelligent crowd, lots of good conversation, and great fun either on the inner dance floors. Alternatively, you can dance out on the open deck under the stars, with a cool breeze and the beautiful Toronto skyline or Toronto Island in sight. The summer of 2016 is going to be one to remember. Join us in Toronto Harbour over the course of the summer, meet new friends, relax on the water, and make some great memories. Cheers, Anna

Bigger, Better, Bolder Miss Bachata & Miss Salsa!

35 Front St. N

CA$10.00

Hello Friends, Monday night’s Latin Dancing at the Port Credit Legion keeps evolving. What began as Miss Bachata in the Main Ballroom has now expanded to include Miss Salsa in the Round Room, and we are now attracting between 150 - 200 guests every week. For good reason, Miss Bachata and Miss Salsa have now become the largest weekly dancing event in West GTA. For the same $10 entry fee, you are entitled to 2 hours of lessons and an evening of social dancing on both dance floors: Miss Bachata – Main Ballroom • 7:00 – 8:00 pm Beginner lesson progressing to intermediate ===============> (no partner required) • 8:00 – 11:30 pm Social Dancing Miss Salsa – Round Room • 8:00 – 9:00 pm Beginner lesson progressing to intermediate ===============> (no partner required) • 9:00 – 11:30 pm Social Dancing If you have already attended one of my events, you know what makes them so special. • People dance for fun, not show. • The crowd is relaxed, respectful, non-salacious, and intelligent. • The classes give you an opportunity to meet new people and dance with everyone. • The instructors are experienced, friendly, passionate about dance and effective in teaching you to quickly improve your moves. • The more experienced dancers take the time to help the beginners • The Port Credit Royal Canadian Legion has reasonably priced drinks, and warm, friendly servers and the ample parking is free and safe. • We are consistently told that we have the best music and a spacious hardwood floor. My objective is to create a different kind of social gathering, to make it open and non-judgmental, a safe place to meet people just like us. Socializing and dancing seems the perfect way to help build community and tear down the walls that separate us. We make new friends, feel a sense of belonging, and enjoy learning and experience the calmness that comes from being in a safe place while doing so. I want the world to know that despite culture, language, age and orientation, the things that connect us are so much more profound than the things that keep us apart. Many times, I have been asked, “why host an event on Monday night?” Many people escape on the weekend and dread Mondays when they return to work. I believe if you dance on Monday, you put joy and positive energy into your week’s busy schedule, giving your life balance and helping you face your challenges with enthusiasm and confidence. Please join us at the Legion where the “best people” congregate to experience a new type of social gathering… one motivated by compassion, tolerance, and kindness. Come, and bring your good heart and a ready smile. If it’s your first time, come find me, and I will introduce you around. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you enjoy expressing yourself on the dance floor!
