Monday Morning Laughter- Laugh on Purpose
• What we'll do Join us for a round of laughter every Monday to start your day and your week. These sessions are done via online through It is easy to join, just click the link below, allow the software to load (it's safe, I use it often) and choose to join us through your computer. These sessions are recorded, so that they can be accessed for further laughter throughout the week. You have the option of not being seen or heard by turning off your video/audio, if you prefer to not be recorded. We will explain how at the beginning of each session. However, the fun of this is to laugh together and allow it to be contagious. Your participation is acknowledgement that you are aware of the recordings. These are short in the hopes that people will be able to take a break, gather others around if you like to do a round of breathing, laughter, integration and positive affirmations that will uplift you and your day. Just imagine office staff, families, classrooms and other groups tuning in to bring more laughter to their day. Laughter Yoga (LY) is a series of simple yet profound exercises based on the philosophy of “acting happy.” Research has shown that the body does not distinguish between simulated and genuine laughter and in either case produces the same “happy chemistry.” In LY we decide to feel good by engaging the body in the physical actions of happiness and relaxation i.e. laughter and deep breathing. This technique does not rely on the mind; therefore one does not need to be happy, have a sense of humor, or even need a reason to laugh.

Laughter Yoga is comprised of short stretching, breathing, and laughing exercises designed to stimulate the diaphragm and the flow of oxygen through your body for enhanced physical, mental, and emotional well being. It starts with simulated laughter exercises and through eye contact and the infectious nature of laughter, turns into genuine delight. It is uplifting, fun, and anchors one fully in the present moment.

LY is a tremendously efficient way to release tension in a positive manner!

Come de-compress from your day, move your energy, and share some laughs with new or familiar friends! Laughing brings out the best in human nature and fosters connection, fellowship, and a spirit of playfulness.
