World Laughter Day was created in 1998 by the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria to bring people together people of all cultures and backgrounds to foster world peace through laughter. This wonderful exercise fosters social connection, teamwork, personal joy, good health and offers many benefits to body, mind and spirit.

Laughter Yoga is non religious and non political and open to all.
No experience necessary.
No yoga poses.

Laughter Yoga is laughter exercise (based on every day situations, rather than on jokes, comedy or humor).

These exercises include the Four Element of Joy (laughter, singing, dancing and improv/play).

Laughter Yoga is aerobic exercise (you will burn calories laughing) and can be performed seated or standing. Everyone can go at their own pace.
We do not laugh AT each other, we laugh WITH each other. It is a non judgmental and safe environment to experiment with your laughter and to become more playful : )

All you need, is a willingness to laugh. Even fabricated laughter can be beneficial. Your body cannot differentiate between real or simulated laughter. As long as you breathe deeply, you will benefit from the laughter. We add yogic breathing exercises (to engage the diaphragm and which help to create those belly laughs) . We finish our practice with a grounding and relaxing yoga nidra Mindfulness Meditation.
