What we're about

Who We Are

League of Women in CyberSecurity (LoWiCyS) is a membership based, non-profit organization, focused on helping to fill the CyberSecurity workforce gap by increasing the percentage of women in the field.

The cybersecurity industry is currently suffering from a shortage of approximately one million skilled workers worldwide. That number is expected to grow to 1.5 million by 2019 if the underlying issues causing the shortage are not addressed.

LoWiCyS is helping to address this shortage by working to remove the obstacles of entry/reentry in the cybersecurity field that disproportionately impact women. Our underlying strategy revolves around providing low cost hands-on cybersecurity education, opportunities for real-world experience, workforce entry/reentry support, and mentoring.
