Lean Agile Manchester supports Women In Technology North (http://www.meetup.com/Women-in-Technology-North/)

Agile, Kanban, Lean, Scrum, community in Manchester and surrounding areas. Of particular interest to this group are practices and methods for improving the effectiveness of software development. Kanban for software development, Lean, Agile, Rightshifting, Continuous Delivery and Systems Thinking are just some of the topics for discussion.

When: 3rd Wednesday of each month, 6:30pm onwards. We're normally finished for 9pm unless otherwise stated, followed by refreshments at a local watering hole.

Cost : All meetings are free and registration is required as the capacity of the venue is often limited.

Our meetings are informal and friendly with plenty of opportunity for discussion and chat.

That doesn’t make them any easier to manage! Using case studies from her experience as a programme manager, Kat provides tools to help you feel more confident tackling difficult subjects and enable you to take control of the situation. The session will investigate strategies that can be applied to challenging situations, such as a personality clash or addressing poor performance, culminating in tips on how to manage your communications effectively to achieve a positive outcome. 3 takeaways: You will learn how to stay in control of situations How to deal with conflict How to communicate effectively Bio: Kat Turner is an Education Portfolio Manager at ITSM Zone. She has thirteen years’ experience as a manager in the education, media and new media sector. Her current role is focused upon course production, online marketing, content creation and sharing ideas. When she is not developing courses, Kat enjoys rock climbing. **Doors open at 6.30pm with the talks starting promptly at 7pm.
