For this meet-up we will be exploring Sensing the context. As previously discussed Context is everything and Sensing is a key skill that is necessary in every context.

To this purpose we will explore Agendashift survey as a way of sensing an operation and its agility. Agendashift offers a great set of curated questions and analysis for quick-starting transformation, hearing the voices from the system of work. Mike Burrows, founder of Agendashift, will be introducing us to the survey, how to analyse responses and observed patterns of transformations. This will give a unique insight about the challenges of transformations.

We will also cover a view of SenseMaker from Cognitive Edge. SenseMaker is purposefully less deterministic and works using diads / triads, and algorithms to plot answers. Richard Atherton, partner at First Human, will talk to us about the philosophy behind this approach and his practical experience working with the tool. We are also working to have somebody from Cognitive Edge joining us.

Let’s be clear that the purpose of the meet-up will not be to determine right or wrong and better or worse. Both tools have a place, and both are very useful to address Sensing in the right context!!
