RightScale and Lean Startup Circle are partnering up to host a Product & Design Meetup. This will be a fun and educational Meetup for current and aspiring product managers, designers, and user researchers. We have a great line up of seasoned speakers who will be touching base on their own personal experiences in the field:

• Personal journeys into product/design

• Intersection of product and design.

• Top challenges faced and “tried and tested” methods to overcome them

• Advice for aspiring PMs and Designers

Jim Semick

Jim Semick is co-founder and Chief Strategist of ProductPlan, a business software company based in Santa Barbara. For over 15 years he has helped launch innovative new software products that have been used by millions of people. He was part of the founding team at AppFolio, a business SaaS company. Prior to AppFolio, Jim validated the product ideas that became GoToMyPC and GoToMeeting (acquired by Citrix). Jim is a frequent speaker on product management, startups, and the process of discovering successful business models. Follow him on twitter @jimsemick

Carey Caulfield

Carey is a Principal Product Manager at LogMeIn and a 20 year veteran in SaaS space. Carey brings Twenty years of software product design experience, specializing in web and mobile, with the positive energy and will power to get things done and motivate others to do the same. Carey has helped bring 4 well known, brand name products to market, from concept to final product. Think in ideal outcomes and everything else follows.

Joe Cox

Joe Cox is a Sr. Product Manager at D2 Nova (www.d2nova.com), a startup in downtown Santa Barbara, where he is helping the team build and launch new communication solutions for including Team.biz and EVOX. Prior to that position, Joe was Product Line Manager for Citrix's GoToWebinar, the leading do-it-yourself solution for online events. Joe has been in Product Management roles for 11 years, has been in the tech industry for 14 years, holds an M.B.A from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Westmont College.
