Innovation at the City of Orlando

Details
In August we have Michael Hess and Curtis Ostrodka from the City of Orlando. They will be speaking about the City of Orlando's new Future-Ready City Master Plan, and how the City is looking to the future and leveraging innovation, collaboration, and lean principles to enhance city services and improve equity.
Meet our Speakers:
Mike is a mechanical engineer who is focused on creating smart and sustainable cities. He currently leads smart city efforts for the City of Orlando, including their first Future-Ready Master Plan. He previously worked as VP of Smart and Sustainable Buildings for Panasonic’s smart city team. He has worked on several smart city projects across the U.S., including projects with connected and autonomous vehicles, carbon-neutral micro-grids, and other emerging technologies
Curt serves as the Director of Community Planning at VHB. He has more than 16 years of experience leading collaborative teams that address complex community and mobility planning issues, including future-ready smart cities, visioning, corridor redevelopment planning, and healthy community design. He earned a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning degree from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences with Honors from the University of Illinois.
As always, we will have an interactive Q&A session so bring any questions you may have about innovation methodology, pet peeves, blocking issues - doesn't have to be directly related to the speakers.
We will kick things at 5:30 pm sharp, so don't be late joining. We look forward to seeing you, virtually :)
