Details

We have a double treat this time! Two experts with deep knowledge in their fields are coming together to deliver high quality content. Don't miss this talk rich in intellectual nutrients for Lean Starters. :)

Jim will start us off with an overview of intellectual property (IP) and then discuss how to avoid the major IP-related pitfalls that can negatively impact startups/early-stage companies. Ken will wrap up with "Product Led Growth"- What It Is and Why It's the Future.

Meet our Speakers:
Jim DeCarlo is a Shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property Practice and its Emerging Technology Practice. Jim started his career in the computer industry, and since transitioning to law has spent over 25 years litigating, licensing, and procuring patents. He counsels clients in complex technology areas such as computer software, hardware and networking, machine learning and artificial intelligence, cloud computing, virtual and augmented reality, IoT, streaming media, electronic commerce, Internet search engines, search advertising, client/server systems, mobile, and land-based telecommunications. Jim’s clients in the US and abroad range from start-ups to the world’s largest corporations. A frequent author and lecturer, he is relied on by clients to assist in protecting their most significant technology in a manner that will stand up in litigation, to defend against charges of infringement frequently brought by patent assertion entities, and to work with in-house counsel to develop processes and procedures to effectively manage worldwide patent portfolios.

Ken completed his MBA at Boston University Questrom School of Business and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of New Haven, where he was recognized as the top student in the College of Business.

As always, we will have an interactive Q&A session so bring any questions you may have about innovation methodology, pet peeves, blocking issues - doesn't have to be directly related to the speakers.

We will kick things at 5:30 pm sharp, so don't be late joining. We look forward to seeing you, virtually :)
