Leap Yoga was born from a collective desire to encourage everyone to have the courage to “leap” and do those things in their life that make them feel vibrant, alive, happy, healthy & fulfilled!

Simple though not easy, Yoga restores the balance lost in your life. If you’ve lost flexibility, or vitality and energy, gained unwanted weight or feel stress, yoga can help you to address these issues permanently. Through our practice you will feel younger and more energetic, look trimmer, feel better in your clothes, and get the ultimate workout. But even more importantly you will get the “work-in”. If you are willing, you can go beyond the physical to discover what’s happening within…what are your blocks to growth and having the life you want? What are your strengths and gifts? These are only a few of the many questions you can begin to ask and answer on your mat. So come play with us and see where your yogic journey takes you.

Relax Deeply with Cici

We are adding an additional class to our Sunday schedule, headed by Cici, from 4.00pm to 5:15pm. The first class starts Sunday 2/14 and we very much look forward to seeing at Leap!

Relax Deeply is a method of restorative yoga pioneered by Eddie Modestini and Kristin Bosteels. Using props to creatively support the body, students are guided towards an experience of profound relaxation and healing. While all poses will be gentle, students will be encouraged to find a balance of effort and non-effort, embodying the famous yoga sutra “sthira sukham asanam,” or effort without tension, relaxation without dullness. This practice is ideal for those who are looking to yoga to support the emotional body, are in the midst of illness or disease, or simply need a way to destress from the challenges of daily life.

You will get to the “root” of your practice as Karen guides you in refining and aligning your poses by breaking them down into each component…finding the sukha and sthira (sweetness and steadiness) in each one…enabling you to take that body of knowledge into your regular practice!

Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogic sleep”, is a guided meditation done lying on the back in a corpse position to bring you into a state of conscious deep relaxation. Essentially sleep with a trace of awareness. This systematic journey guides you through the layers of the physical and subtle bodies allowing the body to completely relax, to let go, and to bring about deep healing: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is also known to help with insomnia, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and to help restore energy, promote creativity, and improve overall health. This practice can help calm your sympathetic nervous system, leaving you with a sense of peace, calm, and hopefully, bliss.

Join Gena in a magical process of releasing the physical body, quieting the brain waves, tapping into our emotional body, and gaining a higher intellect.
