Expert Series: Michael Pepin

This is the first event in our new space and we are so excited to welcome Michael Pepin of Soltra Edge to SecureSet! Mr. Pepin will be giving an Introduction to careers in cyber intelligence. He will be discussing a number of issues and discussing the following questions:

How do we convert raw Intel into actionable Intel? What is he strategic mindset vs the tactical mindset? What is cyber intelligence in DOD vs Corporate? How does an organization become less reactive and more proactive? What does this domain have to offer? What is it like working in threat intel? What would I be doing? What programs do I need to be learning? What certifications might I need? How do I know if I'm a fit? Mr. Pepin has an extensive background in both commercial and DOD security and more than 15 years of hands-on Security Engineering experience. He has worked in applied information securities and in research and is an expert in government and commercial cyber collection and defense. He has briefed a wide variety of senior professionals ranging from general officers in the US military to C-Level executives.

Me. Pepin is an advocate for a open standard based approach to CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) sharing. He is also a subject matter expert on TAXII 1,1, STIX 1.1.1, and CybOX 2.1.0.
