This 101 is designed for those who may or may not have some tech skills but have very limited knowledge in regards to network vulnerabilities. Network security consists of the policies and practices used to control access in a network. One objective of network security is to maintain network integrity by preventing hacking, misuse or other unauthorized system changes. Another objective is ensuring that critical data is only accessed by those who are authorized.

6:30 - 7:00 PM | Q&A Wrap up

Suggested Experience:

  • Basic programming or networking skills.
  • ZERO security experience required!

Public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.

If you consider yourself a cybersecurity n00b, then Hacking 101 is for you. Each event will feature a hands-on workshop designed to boost your cyber-skills. Hacking 101 is an opportunity for you to gain technical knowledge and find out if cybersecurity is something you’re passionate about. No experience is required. Just show up and learn something new!
