Cybersecurity Capture the Flag for Beginners

Details

There’s nothing wrong with being a n00b. Everyone starts somewhere. Our Intro to CTF event is designed to help beginners spread their hacking wings and fly! Our SecureSet instructors will assist you with setting up your computer and will provide you with technical assistance if you need it. They’ll make sure that you learn some new hacking skills and have an awesome time doing it.

A capture the flag is an event where individuals and teams compete against each other. In a way, it’s a cybersecurity game full of puzzles to solve. There are four different domains; Networks, AppSec, Python, and Cryptography. Within those domains, there are also multiple levels which build off of each other and get progressively harder. In order to get through Level 2, you’ll need information from Level 1, and so on. The first level is the easiest level and then the levels get progressively harder as you go. Similar to golf, you can compete against yourself, or other participants in the room.

Join us for snacks, drinks, and cybersecurity fun! Bring a friend and snag some swag!
