What we're about

This meet up will be technical in nature and is aimed towards any person who has an interest in learning more about security, ethical hacking, and penetration testing. The goal will be to start with everyone learning the basics and working our way up from there. Members not attending meetings will be removed to allow for people able to attend to join as we only have 50 spots in this meeting up.

Like you I am interested in learning more about Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing. I am not a teacher nor am I a Pen tester. I have been working in many roles in the IT industry since the 90s. Lately I have had a focus on security and now I would like to learn Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing. "The best way to learn is to teach"; so I have started this meet up as a place where anyone interested in learning more can join in. If you have a topic you want covered or perhaps you have some knowledge you want to share please let me know.

The building is secure and closed at 5pm so you have to come through the noted door only ********************************** Last meeting we checked out demos of Sandfly, Openvas, Ubiquiti USG, Security Onion. At the end of the meetup I showed a raspberry pi that was being used as a network implant. This meetup bring your laptop and if you have one a raspberry pi. I will walk through all the steps needed to create a network implant. This will include all the source code and tools needed to drop it into a network (that you have permission to use) and start exploring. This exploit will include how to setup a reverse shell automatically on boot up. So much fun grab your toys and let's play. I will also have some vms to hack and if all goes well security onion watching the network for another live demo of the action. Get your Security On.
