Blockchain - What it is, What it isn't, and Why you should care!

There’s no way around it, the technological genie is out of the bottle. Blockchain technologies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and over a thousand more, are starting to challenge the way we handle the transfer of value between individuals, the way we handle data, identity, computing, and so much more. It is easy for people to get wrapped up in the hype surrounding this groundbreaking technology, without truly understanding what it is--and what it isn’t. The goal of this meetup is to provide a non-technical introduction to blockchain technologies, how they work from a high level view, what industries they are currently positioned to disrupt, as well as an objective view of their current capabilities and limitations. Armed with this knowledge, we hope that you will gain valuable insights into how you can best position yourself to be able to take advantage of the opportunities presented by this rapidly evolving internet of value.
