Building with Progressive Enhancement in Mind

Details
What is this class about?
When beginning the design and development of a product, it’s important to consider the conditions in which the product will be used. In this workshop, we’ll work through the principles of progressive enhancement to argue for a user’s needs and practice building out a hypothetical product.

What you will learn
A progressive web app takes into account the many factors that impact the user's experience such as...
- Load times
- Navigation of your app regardless of device (desktop, tablet, etc)
- Intuitiveness
- Accessibility
In this class, we will spend some time discussing and defining progressive web apps in more detail and then do a demonstration of what it looks like in action. The goal is to make you aware and empathetic of your users when designing your applications.
Bring loads of empathy and something to take notes if you’d like, otherwise, nothing else is needed!

When she’s not working, you won’t find her in Austin because she’ll likely be in the next country on her very long travel bucket list.
