Welcome to Learn to Crochet for Beginners Group - We are a branch of the Knitting and Crochet Guild (Home | Knitting & Crochet Guild (kcguild.org.uk) (https://kcguild.org.uk/) which is a national educational charity dedicated to UK hand knitting, domestic machine knitting and crochet. This branch is dedicated to teaching basic Crochet to beginners online to get you started in a friendly, inclusive way.
Our branch's mission focusses on five main areas which are important to becoming confident in Crochet:
• Gain a solid grounding in the basic stitches and techniques
• Teach you how to read patterns and interpret diagrams, charts and graphgans
• Be able to convert patterns from around the world into UK terminology to help you expand your knowledge
• Give you the skills to develop your own patterns and ideas through dedicated technique masterclasses
• Teach you how to customise your projects using textures and embellishments
