Best for Caregivers of ill family member/friends who want to have an insight on proper caregiving techniques, common caregiving skills and learn the basics of common diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's , Stroke and much more; and how to effectively care for them.

The group will meet once or twice a week for an hour , between 5pm and 6 pm to learn basics of caregiving such as providing bed baths, dressing of the disabled, transfers with lifts, care of patients with oxygen , catheters, ostomies, etc.

Those who are working as caregivers are welcome to enhance or improve your own skills. This group will serve as a support system to all caregivers and hopefully provide respite for each other.

I am a licensed nurse who had been teaching basic nursing skills for the last 12 yrs and had taught all aspects of caregiving and home care. With caregiving knowledge, you will be empowered on how to become an effective caregiver and a compassionate individual to the sick.
