Workshop on graphing with ggplot2

This event will teach attendees all the ins and outs of graphing with the ggplot2 package in R. I will teach attendees how to build basic graphs and how to use the most useful customizations. I will also go over how to calculate basic summary statistics by groups that can then be used in the graphs. We will have several 15 minutes breaks and I will provide snacks.

I have found that one of the biggest barriers of incorporating use of ggplot2 graphs into everyday use is that graphs are difficult to build the first time. I will provide attendees with reliable, reproducible code for the main graph types (bar graphs, scatterplots, boxplots, and line graphs). These will include functionality to create colored groups and facets by groups along with other customization. I will teach attendees how to utilize this code so all that will be necessary when creating most graphs is adjustment of the graph and font size!

This session will be recorded and the recording will be made available to everyone after the class session is over.
