What we're about
Learning to Live after Loss is a Meetup group for both friends experiencing any kind of loss and grief and for those interested in learning on how to deal with loss and grief in their daily life.
We are used to think of grief only as a reaction to the death of a loved one. Grief is not just that! Any kind of loss which changes our life can cause a state of grieving. It can be a divorce, the end of a romantic relationship, the loss of a job, the loss of a pet, the end of a friendship, a move to another country, and many other life changes.
This Meetup group is not only for people who are experiencing a loss but for all those people willing to understand more about how to deal with grieving in our everyday life and learn a new approach to the grief.
We all happen to interact with friends, colleagues who are grieving and...we don't know what to say and how to behave!
This Meetup it’s not about death and sadness, it’s all about life!
It’s about learning how to live with your loss and how to continue living in your new, different life in a way that leaves room for joy and love.
“Bereavement is a universal and integral part of our experience of love” (C.S. Lewis)
Join this compassionate group of friends and give yourself permission to grieve freely, shameless, at your own pace and without judgement even the most intangible losses.
You need to learn how to live in your new life, connecting your past to your present and build your future, discovering your true self and experiencing a life with a sense of purpose and meaning!
